A day of bookend weather - ok at the start and end, but wet in the middle. We opted to go to Cragside. We wandered around the walks in the rain. Rather than go into the house in our full waterproof kit we opted to end the visit by driving round the 'Carriage Drive'. Probably very nice on a dry day, but the weather made it all rather dismal.
We headed for the coast again - Dunstanburgh Castle this time. The wind was whipping up the sea. Rather than walk all the way out to the castle we took pictures of it with the wild, rocky coastline in the foreground. It was still raining.
On the way back to Greenhaugh we stopped at same spot we had photographed in the morning. The day had improved by this point with lovely low light.
