The Tour's Stage 3 was from Tewkesbury to Gloucester via the Forest of Dean. The route passed quite close to Cannop, went down to the coast at Lydney and then returned to pass along the road adjacent to Cannop Ponds before tackling a Queen of the Mountains section up to Speech House. I was able to catch them as they came up the hill out of Lydbrook. While the race went off to Lydney I was able to get to Cannop Ponds and wait for their return.
As they came up the hill from Lydbrook they were by no means all in one big group. However for my second 'go' they were all in a bunch except a group of five at the back.
Having 'liked' an Instagram picture I accepted an invitation to 'follow' the CAMS-Basso Bikes team. As a consequence I kept an eye out for the team's riders!

After watching the riders go on their way to Speech House I used up the time on my car park ticket for was photographic wander around the Ponds area.
