Scotland Day 5

Acharacle : Ardnamurchan : Acharacle : Ardtoe : Castle Tioram : Dalnabreac : Acharacle

What a mix of weather.  Cloudy, sunny, downpours, sleet, strong winds and temperatures as low as four degrees.  Colder still in the wind.
The final piece of road to the Ardnamurchan Lighthouse was . . . . interesting!  It was a fairly long winding section, just wide enough for a car and bounded by high walls.  No passing places.  A sign said to wait for a green light before attempting to go in.  But there were no lights anywhere!  It was a matter of going in with fingers crossed, hoping nothing was attempting the route in the other direction!  The rather dismal lighthouse was made more dismal by the strong winds and driving rain.  Not a spot to linger in.

At Castle Tioram the weather improved and made for a pleasant walk with lovely views.

At Dalilea near Dalnabreac the weather went downhill again.  Sleet and driving rain with glimpses of sun.  Had a long walk despite the conditions.

Visited the wildlife hide again, but not even a bullfinch in sight this time.
