Scotland Day 3

Tarbert : Crinan : Carnassarie Castle : Ellenabeich : Oban

A dismal start to the day.  Crinan might have been quite pretty and worth a bit of exploration had it not been for the rain.  The locks and boats were attractive, though.

Crinan

At Kilmartin I walked up to Carnassarie Castle and had the whole area to myself.  Even the moss covered signpost looked ancient.  Everywhere was so dripping wet that I didn’t fancy slipping on the stone spiral staircases - never to be found for days!

Ellenabeich was an attractive village.  I failed to find my planned walk, but found plenty to photograph including the little ferry (not much more than a rowing boat) to Easdale Island.
