This was a five day trip to Hay-on-Wye as a celebration of our wedding anniversary on Friday 7 April.
The start was to travel down on Wednesday 5 April and book in to the Swan Hotel for the first of four nights.
Day 1 : Thursday 6 April
We walked to the bridge over the Wye and did a walk downstream and returned for a walk upstream! In the afternoon we wandered around the town and the bookshops.

Day 2 : Friday 7 April
A walking day. We drove out to the car park area below Hay Bluff. After walking up we made our way to Gospel Pass and back along the road to the car. The legs worked surprisingly well!

Day 3 : Saturday 8 April
We made an early start and managed to park in the small space at Gospel Pass. Heading west we rose to the high point of Twmpa before taking a long valley walk down to Capel-y-ffin. The road walk back to Gospel Pass was all uphill and we were really quite tired at the end.
Later we managed more pictures around the town.

Day 4 : Sunday 9 April
Time to head home, but taking in a long detour to Llanthony Priory and a short photo walk in the area.
