A day of two matches. In fact there were three, but the Tigers 1st XV didn't feature. The day was the finals of the Cheltenham and District Rugby Combination Cup. I'd already photographed the Tigers 3rd XV beating the Gloucestershire Constabulary as part of the combination and they had reached the finals on this Saturday - to play Norton 2nd XV. The match venue was the main ground at Cheltenham North's site near Stoke Orchard.
The first match of the afternoon was Cheltenham Tigers 3rd XV against Norton 2nd XV with the Tigers winning 44 : 25.
The second match I photographed was Cheltenham Tigers 2nd XV against Stow-on-the-Wold 2nd XV. This was very hard fought match with the Tigers coming out on top with a 34 : 30 win.
The Tigers1st XV had been knocked out by Stow-on-the-Wold 1st XV in their competition and Stow were due play in their final match after I'd left for home.
