Dumbleton 3rd XI against Charlton Kings 3rd XI
The match took place at Stanway and although I'd seen the lovely clubhouse from the road, this was my first visit to the ground. "Interesting"! The main square was flat and so were parts of the outfield. However parts still had the medieval ridge and furrow field structures. The situation is absolutely delightful - just fields and trees and cows and a thatched clubhouse on staddle stones.
The Dumbleton team included some very young lads and one woman player.
Dumbleton were all out for 98 after 34 overs. Charlton Kings won - they reached 102 for 5 after 26 overs.
