Cleeve Hill

This was a long walk to inspect the potential use of Queen's Wood for a bluebell photoshoot.  The walk started just opposite the Ellenborough Park Hotel in Southam.  The footpath was steeply up and dreadful - oodles of unavoidable slimy mud.  The wood itself actually looks very manicured, but the carpet of bluebells looks remarkably thick.  In order to keep to footpaths there would need to be a bit of experimenting so that pictures didn't look like the paths were used - should be easy enough.

After the wood I continued up to the Cleeve Hill base - near the 'two trees'.  It struck me as a really good spot for a 'Wuthering Heights / Jane Eyre" photoshoot.

The route home was across the top of the common, through more woods to pick up the road that runs past Corndean Hall.
