Scotland Day 10

Greshornish : Claigan and Coral Beach : Neist Point : Trumpan Church : Greshornish

A luxury, leisurely start with a breakfast of salmon with scrambled egg, sprinkled with dried seaweed.  The day started wet, but the rain had stopped by the time I reached Claigan.  For the long walk to and past the Coral Beach I had the place to myself.  As I left, others were arriving.  Lovely colours in the water when looking in one direction, gloomy and threatening in the other.

Entering the Neist Point car park suddenly brought the cliffs, crashing waves and low clouds into view.  Stunning.  Quite a long walk to reach the lighthouse which was hidden from view until one final turn.  At exactly that spot the rain started and the wind got up.  A very wet walk to the lighthouse and back to the car!

The rain eased to a steady drizzle for the visit to Trumpan Church with its grizzly history.
